FORMAT:

18 Holes of stroke play

Leading 16 gross scores to qualify for match play

Ties to be decided on last 9.6.3.1 holes

A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Handicap certificates must be produced on the first day of the meeting or at the desk on practice day between 1.30pm and 4.30pm. 

Please be on the 1st tee 5 minutes before your Tee Time.

Competitors must have a handicap of 18 or under and be members of their own County Veteran / Senior Association.

 

 


STABLEFORD – 3 person Team Event

A competition for non – qualifiers on Thursday 24th May

PRIZES:

Champion: Salver and Prize

Prizes for Runner –up and Semi-finalists

Gross and Net prizes for Qualifying Round

Prizes for 16 qualifiers

Gross and Nett County Team Prizes for aggregate of three best scores

1st and 2nd Prizes for Stableford Team Event

 

 

The club house and Pro shop will be open from 7.00 am each day.

Bacon Barms & Tea /Coffee available from 7.30 am

Snack menu available all day

Halfway House open throughout the competition

Practice ground on Shay Lane open from 7 am range balls are available from the Pro’s shop £1.50 for 30 balls

Tuesday 22nd May

Practice round –   by arrangement with the Club Professional Nick Ryan

Cost £20 first time available 1.30 pm please note that times may arranged on an alternative day, excluding Friday by arrangement

Wednesday 23rd May:

8.00 am – 2.00 pm                            Qualifying Round

6.30 pm approximately                       Prize Presentation

7.00 pm                                            Reception

7.30 pm                                            Dinner at Ringway golf Club

Menu: Seafood trio, chicken fillet with mango wrapped in bacon with mushroom sauce, lemon tart, cheese and biscuits

Thursday 24th May:

8.30 am                                                  First round matches

1.30 pm                                                  Quarter Finals

10.15 am – 12.45pm                           Stableford Team event

Stableford Prize Presentation at the end of the Stableford Play

Friday 25th May:

8.30 am                                                 Semi Finals

1.15 pm                                                 Finals

5.00 pm approximately                            Prize Presentation

How to get there:

Ringway Golf Club is located in Hale Barns, 10 miles south of Manchester city centre and three miles west of Manchester Airport.

To get there; leave the M56 at Junction 6 and follow the A538 towards Altrincham. After approximately one mile and after passing through Hale Barns village, turn right into Shay Lane and then immediately right into the golf club.

Please note that it can get quite busy aroud the airport at rush hour so please bear this in mind when calculating journey times.

The practice ground is a short drive away from the club on Shay Lane and will be open from 7.00am. Range balls are available and require a token from the Pro's shop at £1.15 for 30 balls. For those playing early on Wednesday it may be worth buying a token the day before. The shop and range should be open at 7.00am. There is a small chipping area and putting green close to the clubhouse.
